Program Arkathon - Challenge : Pain Management
WHAT IS THE ARKATHON PROGRAM ?
The Arkathon Program, co-organized by Swiss Digital Health and The Ark Foundation, aims to promote concrete innovations in the field of health. On September 30, it launched its international call for solutions on the theme of pain, with a prize of up to Swiss Francs 25,000. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2020.
A 3-PHASE PROGRAM
The Arkathon Program now takes place in three phases: firstly, an Open Call for Solutions which has just been launched, followed by a Bootcamp where the selected candidates will be invited to participate in two intense days of workshops, then an Immersion Program which will welcome the most promising projects for the period of co-development of their solutions.
The richness of the Arkathon Program? Leading Swiss and foreign companies, healthcare institutions and technological institutes are involved in the Program and work closely with the candidates throughout the entire process to co-develop concrete healthcare solutions, with the economic support of regional public funds.
THIS YEAR'S CHALLENGE TO TACKLE : PAIN RELIEF
Understanding, treating and managing pain is one of the greatest challenges facing healthcare today. With its international call for solutions, the Arkathon Program offers the opportunity for entrepreneurs to co-develop their prototypes or demonstrators by benefiting directly from feedback from the field.
Candidate solutions for the Arkathon Program must address a specific issue in the field of acute or chronic pain, at all levels of patient care (primary prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, quality of life maintenance, pain management or palliative medicine). Whether telemedicine, machine learning or virtual reality, the possibilities for innovation in this field are immense.
